Holiday Brussels Sprouts

HOLIDAY BRUSSELS SPROUTS
Compliment your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with this delicious side dish.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1.5lb x Brussels Sprouts, cleaned, trimmed and cut in half
- 4 x Slices of bacon or pancetta, diced into 1/4" pieces
- 1 Tbsp x Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 x Cloves of garlic OR Zoë Garlic-Infused Oil
- 1 x Shallot, minced
- 1 x Leek, thinly sliced, white parts only
- 1 Tbsp x Unsalted butter
- 1 Tsp x Lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp x Parmesan, grated
Instructions:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and blanch Brussels sprouts for 1 min. Remove and drain.
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat, add olive oil or Garlic-infused Olive Oil.
- Add bacon to the pan and sauté for 5 mins or until crispy.
- Add garlic, shallots, and leeks and sauté for another 3 mins or until translucent.
- Add in blanched Brussels sprouts, season with salt and pepper, toss until all incorporated.
- Add butter and let brussel sprouts crisp up in the pan.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon and grate parmesan on top. Enjoy!
