Description

With no processed ingredients like concentrates, juices, pulps, or purees, Favuzzi marmalades embody the true essence of Sicilian citrus. Their craftsmen use 65% whole fruit, retaining the delicate balance of sweet and tangy notes that is signature to the mandarins and blood oranges grown in this region.

Uses: Cheese, which is devoid of sugar and usually salty, rounds out and mellows the taste of marmalades. On the other hand, mandarin, lemon and orange marmalades are great pairing options to accompany fresh, soft or sweet cheeses. With ricotta or robiola, creamy cheeses and mascarpone, orange marmalade is definitely recommended.

Distinctives attributes: Favuzzi organic marmalades are free from processed elements like concentrates, juices, pulps, or purees. They emphasize the use of freshly picked citrus fruits to guarantee outstanding taste and fragrance. Their mandarin and blood orange marmalades boast a whole fruit content of 65%.

Origin: Belpasso, Sicily, Italy

Artisan: The story begins when Salvatore Mammana, a 26-year old recent graduate of political science studies, informed his father of his desire to produce jam! Even at the time, this idea was not a farfetched dream, but an entrepreneurial initiative with a clear vision that, as we’ve seen over time, has proven to be an ongoing success thanks to the consistent quality that our producer has been able to achieve these last thirty years.

About Favuzzi

For generations, the Favuzzi family has lived according to the rhythm of the harvests near the Adriatic coast, in Italy. Michel Favuzzi, their founder, discovered the family's olive growing tradition through his uncle Damiano during a trip to Europe. It is worth noting that food is part of every conversation with the Favuzzis. Each family member is deeply attached to the land, passionate about doing things well, and focused on quality over high yield. Damiano is both a chef and an agricultural producer; it was he who encouraged his nephew to import an extra virgin olive oil bearing a protected designation of origin (PDO). This oil, produced by the oil cooperative most Favuzzi family members belong to, marked the beginning of the adventure.
